Reconciliation Action Plan
Acknowledgement Of Country
Asquith Community Before and After School Care acknowledges the Dharug People as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we gather, learn, and play today. We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging, and recognise their enduring connection to Country to land, waters, and community.

Our Visions for Reconciliation
Our vision for reconciliation is to consistently ensure our students recognise and respect that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are the Traditional Custodians and Owners of the Land on which we live, including the Land that the centre stands on. We aim to foster an environment of inclusivity, recognition and respect throughout our community.
Asquith Community After School Care is dedicated to continually fostering meaningful connections with the First Nations community, embodying the spirit of reconciliation within our program. We recognise the importance of acknowledging and respecting the rich cultural heritages, cultures and perspectives of First Nations peoples. To build these essential relationships, we actively engage with respect local First Nations Elders, leaders, and community members, seeking their guidance and wisdom.
Asquith Community After School Care aims to contribute to an environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, students and Elders feel a sense of belonging, cultural safety and support. The cultures, histories, and perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are at the forefront of everything we do including our philosophy, program and practices.
